A stunning Sunshine Coast home located along the coveted stretch known as Noosa Sound, 31 Witta Circle sold for $17.6 million under the hammer through Richardson & Wrench Noosa principals, Gillian and Shane McCauley.
A stunning Sunshine Coast home has smashed the local auction price record, achieving an incredible $17.6 million under the hammer with Richardson & Wrench Noosa.
The highest Australian price under the hammer at the weekend - and the most ever paid at auction on the Sunshine Coast - the significant sale was achieved by Richardson & Wrench Noosa principals, Gillian and Shane McCauley.
Located along the coveted stretch known as Noosa Sound, the glamorous five-bedroom, six-bathroom waterfront property at 31 Witta Circle had been one to watch prior to its March 22 auction, racking more than 7300 combined views on REA and Domain.
“Homes of this calibre rarely come to market as they’re so tightly held. When they do list, they’re very quickly snapped up,” Mrs McCauley said, adding that her team had around 100 direct enquiries for the property with more than 30,000 views on R&W’s own website.
“There’s tremendous demand for high end homes in Noosa. Although the market here has cooled slightly since the boom of the pandemic, we’re still seeing incredible results for rare gems like this one. The buyer appetite is definitely very strong,” she added.
Noosa’s existing record auction price was smashed by more than $1 million with this latest transaction. Before the successful Witta Circle, the benchmark sat at $16.45 million, set in 2021.
Attracting a large crowd and four registered bidders, the ultimate bid was made by Melbourne-based buyers who will continue to offer the prestige property as an executive rental. Previously, the holiday home has been leased for as much as $4000 a night in peak season.
“There was wide-ranging interest from buyers. A mix of local and interstate purchasers were considering the property as either a permanent home or holiday house because it really is one of the best locations in Noosa,” Mrs McCauley said.
A tightly-held neighbourhood in popular Noosa Heads, “The Sound” is an exclusive pocket of prime real estate positioned on the Noosa River surrounded by peaceful canals and pristine bushland close to vibrant Hastings Street.
The modern Witta Circle home sits on 523sqm and features a spacious two-storey floor plan, a wet-edge pool with spa, private beach and jetty, as well as enviable views.
