One of the largest waterfront landholdings in the St George region has been sold by Mitchell Wynn and Laura McKay of Highland Property for an undisclosed price following a 60-day campaign.
The approximately 2,168sqm Connells Point estate features panoramic water views and direct access to the St Georges River, with manicured gardens and rolling lawns.

Speaking to LUXURY LIST WEEKEND, Mitchell Wynn said the sale broke the record for highest waterfront sale on the Georges River, the highest sale in Connells Point, and the highest sale in the entire St George area.
“We had an overwhelming level of interest in the property, both online and in person,” Mitchell told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.

“This property is an exceptionally rare waterfront estate set on 2,168sqm of level land with manicured gardens, rolling lawns, and an extraordinary 50-metre deep-water frontage, so I was very happy to see that we were able to capture the attention of buyers across all markets.”
“From our comprehensive marketing campaign, we saw the response go somewhat viral, generating significant attention from Sydney natives but also international parties. In total we received 327 enquiries, which was a phenomenal result for a property at this price point.”

Interested parties were drawn to the property’s rare block size, the 50-metre deep-water frontage with full boating facilities, and the luxurious, predominantly single-level design with seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
“They loved the privacy, scale, and resort-style feel, making it a truly unique opportunity in the area,” Mitchell explained.
“The majority of our enquiries came from families, most of whom were looking to make the property their primary residence. Interest was particularly strong from Connells Point and surrounding suburbs, but we also saw interest from buyers in the broader St George region, Sutherland Shire, the Eastern Suburbs, and internationally, particularly from China. While most were owner-occupiers, we also received several enquiries from buyers looking to secure the home as a second or even third residence.”

A significant portion of the enquiry and inspections came from local buyers looking to upgrade from smaller properties or homes that weren’t on the waterfront.
“We also received notable interest from overseas clients, many of whom were not intending to live in the home permanently, but were drawn to the property's lifestyle appeal and unique waterfront position” Mitchell told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.

Mitchell said the high-end residential market in Sydney continues to show strength, driven by a combination of limited supply, strong lifestyle demand, and confidence among high-net-worth buyers.
“Properties in premium locations, especially those offering unique features such as deep-water frontage, large land parcels, or architectural distinction, are performing well. Often these are the homes that are attracting competitive interest despite higher price points,” he told LUXURY LIST WEEKEND.
“We're currently seeing a diverse buyer profile at the top end which includes local upsizers moving from smaller homes or non-waterfront properties, expats returning from overseas, and international buyers looking to secure luxury assets in tightly held suburbs. Many are seeking a primary residence, but there’s also consistent enquiry from buyers looking for second or third homes, drawn by the lifestyle and long-term value of prestige real estate.”
“Digital exposure and social media have amplified reach in this segment, with high-end listings quickly gaining traction both locally and abroad. Despite broader market fluctuations, the upper tier remains relatively insulated as the quality, scarcity, and location continue to drive strong results.”
